In the center of Samara works on preservation and restoration of a cultural heritage object of regional importance are continuing – «Dom arkhiereyskogo podvorya» that built in 1878. This object of cultural heritage of regional importance, located at the intersection of Vilonovskaya and Galaktionovskaya streets, is being destroyed for many years. Starting from June this year, on the order of Samara Region Development Corporation priority emergency works are carried out. For one hundred and thirty-nine years of existence, the foundation of the building has reduced the bearing capacity, numerous cracks, including hidden ones, have formed in the walls. According to experts, the building is in an emergency condition. Scientific and project documentation has developed, positive conclusions of state expert examinations, including historical and cultural, as well as all necessary permits have been obtained.
The object requires a particularly careful approach. The work to strengthen the foundation of the building is carried out manually, in small parts, the so-called «captures». Nevertheless, at the moment more than 80 percent of the most complex and dangerous works have been completed.
However, as a rule, their carrying out is not without «surprises». The other day, under the influence of external conditions of the urban environment, the existing cracks disclosed on the one of facades of the building. Nevertheless, there are no concerns about the preservation of the cultural heritage object. The owner, designers, contractor organisation, together with the Office of Cultural Heritage Protection, developed and implemented a number of measures to eliminate the defect. The cracking of the masonry is stopped, the work continues in normal mode.
It is necessary to note the operational assistance of the management of the Tram and trolleybus administration of Samara. Immediately after the appearance of cracks, the Corporation asked the Tram and trolleybus administration to temporarily reduce the speed of trams in the area of the building, which was immediately done.
The Corporation plans to return the restored cultural heritage object to the city by June of next year. The next stage of the work, which is scheduled to begin in September, is the continuation of the emergency works, including the replacement of the floors and the strengthening of the walls of the monument, as well as its adaptation for modern use, as a result of which the building will acquire the appearance envisaged by the project.
