Kurumoch International Airport obtained permission for commissioning the objects of airport infrastructure

On December 24, 2014 Federal agency of air transport issued permission for commissioning of the new passenger terminal with the objects of related infrastructure and permission for commissioning the cargo terminal with inbuilt administration and amenity premises.

This project was implemented in close cooperation with Samara Region Development Corporation, “Aeroporty regionov” CJSC, the Government of the Samara region, the Ministry of transportation of the Russian Federation and it is a good example of successful private public partnership. The total amount of private investments in the project constitutes more than 6 billion rubles.

Construction of the new air terminal began in July, 2013. Area of a passenger terminal is 42.7 thousand sq.m, capacity – 3.5 million passengers per year with the level of servicing “C” according to IATA classification. New cargo terminal with the area of more than 5 thousand sq.m was built in 2014 and it is able to accept up to 150 tons of cargo per day. Dozens of objects of related infrastructure, including all necessary facilities of utility services, access roads, parking lots for motortransport were built within the framework of the project.

The new air-terminal complex of Kurumoch International Airport is the result of the first successfully implemented project within the preparation of objects of transport infrastructure for hosting matches of FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Samara.
