Sergievskaya poultry factory will feed the region

Large-scale project

Construction of the complex was started upon the initiative of “Samara Region Development Corporation” OJSC. Construction is performed by the subsidiary company of Corporation – “Evropeyskie biologicheskie technologii”. The first stone to the foundation of the enterprise was laid by Nikolay Merkushkin in July of the previous year.

Head of the region held a meeting on implementation of the project on site. General Director of “EvroBioTech” LLC Konstantin Pozmogov reported on the stage of work performance. Total build-up area of a factory is 917 ha. Hatcher, 6 premises for growing and fattening of the broilers (each for 18 poultry houses), premises for replacement chicks rearing and for parent stock holding, slaughtering shop, processing shop and feed-milling plant with elevator will be located there. 1580 people will be able to work at the factory.

“Today, works of “zero cycle” are done by 95%, - told Konstantin Pozmogov. – Construction of poultry factory objects above ground level is in progress. Complex will be commissioned at the end of 2015 and at first half of 2016 the first products will be produced”.

At first stage, productive capacity of the complex will be 50 thousand tons of poultry meat per year, at the second stage it will be increased up to 130 thousand tons. It will make possible not only to fulfill the needs of the Samara region, but also to supply the products to other regions of the country. Total amount of investments is about 10 billion rubles; at present about 2 billion rubles have already been invested.

The main thing is a quality of works

During the inspection of building sites of poultry houses and hatcher, Nikolay Merkushkin paid a specific attention to the quality of works. He asked if the construction materials comply with sanitary requirements or not. Konstantin Pozmogov said yes. According to him, otherwise suppliers, who are the leading world companies, would refuse to supply the equipment to poultry complex and, what’s more, it would be really problematic to get the certificate for works. By the way, panels for walls, roof and ceiling are produced at Samara factory “Elektroschit”.

“For example, even if a tank goes along the poultry house, no damage will be caused to floor covering”, - claimed General Director of “EvroBioTech”.

“I always emphasize that the main thing is a quality of all works that are executed, - said the head of the region. – Many of our problems stem from the fact that initially all was done in a lackadaisical manner”.

Konstantin Pozmogov assured that it’s not the case here.

The problem of gas-supply will be solved

Nikolay Merkushkin asked about the problems recurred during the performance of construction works. Director of “EvroBioTech” informed that there are some difficulties related to infrastructure, - existing gas networks would not be able to provide the factory with gas in full. In order to change the situation for the better, it is planned to build a gas-distribution station in 2015. Moreover, the issue with water supply of the poultry complex must be solved.

Nikolay Merkushkin promised that the regional authorities will assist with solving these problems. “We signed an agreement with “Gazprom” OJSC according to which seven new automatic gas distribution stations will be built in the region. Now they do their best to solve the problem with gas supply in Sergievsky region, because it is the territory where the relevant facilities are strongly worn out. And there are no new stations in municipality”.

No serious objections

After the inspection of the complex, Nikolay Merkushkin said that he had no serious objections to the project. But it is possible that the vector of development will change since Sergievskaya poultry factory is being constructed with the use of world technologies that are now changing every day.

Head of the region claimed that the object must be completed as scheduled – by the end of 2015. The most important thing, he emphasized, is that the production of Sergievskaya poultry factory should be of high quality and be able to provide the region with fresh cooled poultry meat with no additives.

Nikolay Merkushkin also had a look at the project on a low-rise housing complex in settlement Kalinovka where the employees of the factory will live. It is planned to engage specialists from Voronezh, Belgorod and Lipetsk regions because the process of poultry meat is at very high level in these regions.

Also some land plots for construction will be allocated to multi-child families. According to Nikolay Merkushkin, regional authorities will provide the developer with some assistance in construction of engineering infrastructure facilities and street and road network.
