Samara Region Developement Corporation took part in the first session of a series of events under the title 'Russian Regions: New Points'

On the 24th of December., 2015 the representatives of Corporation took part in the first session of a series of events under the title 'Russian Regions: New Points of Growth’, organized by the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in partnership with the Russian Export Center (REC) and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), with the support of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council in Russia and EY.
The following speakers addressed the event: Alsu Gaynutdinova, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District; Valery Shantsev, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region; Andrey Nikitin, CEO, Agency for Strategic Initiatives; Peter Fradkov, CEO, Russian Export Center; Valentina Fedoseeva, Partner, EY; Alexander Stuglev, Director, Roscongress Foundation; Irina Bakhtina, representative of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council; coordinator of the working group on reducing technical regulations and administrative barriers, at the Foreign Investment Advisory Council in Russia.
The participants discussed finding and developing regional projects that might be attractive to investors and have export potential, as well as prospects for bilateral cooperation between Russian companies and foreign investors.
Following the session in the Volga Federal District work will be conducted to select investment projects that may be presented as part of the events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (June 16–18, 2016).
Seven sessions in the ‘Russia’s regions: New growth areas’ series are scheduled to be held across the country by the end of April 2016.
