The passenger traffic of Kurumoch Airport has set a historic record

Kurumoch International Airport handled 480.4 thousand passengers in the first quarter of 2017, it is more than this indicator for the same period of 2016 for 14.3%. Almost half of a million passengers in the first quarter is a historic record for the airport. So many passengers in the first three months of a year Kurumoch has not yet handled in its modern history.

The quantity of domestic flight passengers is 404.2 thousand people (+7%) in the first quarter and international ones is 76.2 thousands (+ 77%). It is important to emphasize almost tripled passenger traffic to CIS countries, which increased from 11.4 to 30.4 thousand passengers. Such dynamics of transportation to CIS and foreign countries is explained both by the opening of new flights (Almaty, Tel Aviv, Antalya, Istanbul), and by changes of visa regimes. After simplifying of the procedure of entering to the UAE, the passenger traffic from Samara to Dubai increased for more than two times (10.1 thousand passengers in the first quarter of 2017 in comparison to 4.6 thousand ones for the same period of 2016).

Over the first three months of the year, airlines carried out more than 2.5 thousand flights from Samara. Regular flights were carried out in 36 directions. Within the reporting period Samara Airport cooperated regularly with 20 air carriers. There are also positive changes for indicators of cargo handling (+16%) and mail (+ 33%).
