Samara Region Development Corporation participated in the investment workshop "AccEssMeeting Investment Workshop: Russia-Middle East-China"

The seminar «AccEssMeeting Investment Workshop: Russia - Middle East - China» took place at KPMG's Moscow office on the 18th of November, 2016. This event aimed to improve qualification of IR-specialists of Russian corporations, financial and banking institutions and federal authorities.

There were considered the following issues:

• practical aspects of the process of preparation, consideration and implementation of large-scale and long-term investment projects by financial / industrial conglomerates and governmental consortiums, independent and private funds, financial and banking institutions, trust companies, syndicates, family offices, public financial companies, pension funds from the Middle East countries and mainland China;
• special control areas from Arab and Chinese investors, pitfalls in investment teasers, business plans and strategies of avoiding them;
• quality of Russian personnel of their work with investors and investment programs based on practical cases of Sberbank of Russia, VTB Bank, Sinosure, CCECC, Vnesheconombank, Yota Devices and a number of major Chinese investment funds;
• legal aspects of structuring deals, features of compliance and pre-investment analysis in structuring of investment deals by Arabic and Chinese partners;
• practical advices for improvement of negotiating practices and understanding of peculiarities of mentality and managerial decision-making process during promotion of investment projects in the Middle East countries and in mainland China.

Besides speakers paid a close attention on practical recommendations for planning and implementation of negotiating and marketing strategies for attraction of investments at these capital markets. The audience was particularly interested in the features of local investment branding.

The workshop was held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs, Sberbank of Russia and VTB Bank. The General Partner of the event was conglomerate HNA, ETIHAD Airways and Shangri-La.
