Foundation stone laying to the construction of poultry meat production and processing complex in Sergievsky district of the Samara region

On July10, the Governor of the Samara region Nikolay Merkushkim took part in the foundation stone ceremony for construction of poultry meat production and processing complex that took place in village Kalinovka of Sergievsky district.
Director of “Evropeyskie biologicheskie technologii” LLC Konstantin Pozmogov presented a project implementation plan to the head of the region. The main specific character of the project is contact-free egg collection up to hatcher. It will significantly reduce the risk of contagion. Purification plants will also be constructed at the complex to purify water to the level of fish conservation standards.
Nikolay Merkushkin stressed that never before have we had in the Samara region a poultry factory with utilization of the advanced world’s technologies in agriculture: “A very high level of automation will characterize this poultry complex, new modern work places will be created. Location of the complex in several districts will allow observing all sanitary regulations. It is the first time for the Samara region when the floor-housing instead of cage housing will be used and it will significantly improve the quality of product. Unfortunately, now in the Samara region there is almost no cooled poultry meat, and 70% of it is brought from the other regions. After the complex start-up, the Samara region will be able to serve its needs in natural products in full.
Minister of Agriculture of the Samara region Viktor Altergot explained to journalists that currently all the poultry factories which operate in the Samara region, that is Obsharovskaya, Togliattinskaya, Bezenchukskaya and some farms, produce around 27-30 tons of meat per year. New complex will become the largest and will produce more than 100 thousand tons of poultry meat.
