Samara Region Development Corporation took part in VII International economic summit of Russia and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries – KazanSummit 2015

Representatives of the Corporation took part in the VII International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries – KazanSummit 2015 to explore the potential application of Islamic financial instruments for the financing of infrastructure, real estate development, agribusiness and other regional projects and the establishment of international business contacts in the field of attraction of foreign investment for financing the Corporation’s projects.
The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al-Madani became the guest of Honor at the main international platform of the economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. There were more than 700 event’s participants from 46 countries: Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, Somalia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Malaysia, UK, Luxembourg, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Tajikistan, Mauritius, Qatar, the Netherlands, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Brunei-Darussalam, Algeria, Indonesia, Korea, Zambia, Iraq, China, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Georgia, Yemen, the Philippines, Jordan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Switzerland, Macedonia, Hungary, Bahrain and the Czech Republic.
ISLAMIC FINANCE FOR CONSTRUCTIVE GLOBAL TRADE AND INVESTMENT became the main theme of KazanSummit 2015. Its global scale role, functionality, resistance to the economic crises and the interest that these tools are showing not only the Muslim countries, but also European and Western ones. The Islamic finance industry, demonstrating the high growth rate of the global financial sector, was presented as an economic tool for the development of trade, investment attraction and the effective cooperation of Russia with the countries of the Islamic world.
Contacts have been established with the representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, companies from the OIC and from the regional development institutions.
