Samara Region Development Corporation took part in a meeting on cooperation of the Samara region with the company Invest AD

On February 17, 2014 in the Samara region Government representative office under the Government of the Russian Federation a working meeting of representatives of Group of companies “The Bank for development and international economic activity (Vneshekonombank)”, the Government of the Samara region, “Samara Region Development Corporation” OJSC (the Corporation), Abu Dhabi Investment Company PJSC (Invest AD) and STRATEGY Links was held.

The main topic of a meeting was a discussion of possibilities of company Invest AD as an organizer of foreign investments attraction for projects implementation in the territory of the Samara region.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Samara region - had of the Samara region Government representative office under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Eremin gave a welcome speech. Director of Regional policy department of Vneshekonombank Sergey Astafurov stressed the role of the Governor of the Samara region and the Corporation in cooperation with Vneshekonombank, other financial institutes and foreign investors. Company Invest AD was presented by Advisor of Director General on strategic issues of cooperation with Russia and CIS Mikhail Davydov. He told about IvestAd company and its possibilities (both investment and communication). Mikhail Davydov noted that large world investors (including independent funds of UAE) don’t have enough information about economic situation, investment attractiveness and potential of the Russian Federation as a whole and its regions in particular. General Director of the Corporation Olga Serova presented the investment potential of the Samara region as well as ongoing and potential projects of Corporation.

Issues on attracting foreign investments to the real sector of regional economy – energy industry, agriculture, infrastructure – were discussed during the meeting. The Parties agreed to cooperate further.
