Results of Corporation activity in 2013

During 2013 Samara Region Development Corporation was working in three main directions: transport infrastructure, agriculture , industry and production.
Project on construction of a new air-terminal complex, utilities and services of Kurumoch International Airport (investor – “Kurumoch-Invest” CJSC) is implementing as scheduled. In 2013 modernization of existing domestic and international departure terminal and pipe lines of the airport was completed. In July 2013 investor started construction of a new passenger terminal. At present pitching of piles are fully completed, installing of foundation piling is at the final stage, the assembly of the metal structures is in progress. Commissioning of the objects of the first stage is scheduled for December, 2014. Corporation supports the investor in implementation of the project and, at the same time, exercises control over the fulfillment of its obligations against the region and Corporation.
In July 2013 construction of poultry complex of total capacity of 50 thousand tons per year in Sergievsky district was started. At present connection of external electrical networks are finished, two power distribution stations are built and the ground for feed-milling plant is prepared.
Project on construction of poultry factory is not the only project of Corporation in the field of agroindustrial complex. In 2013 Corporation started implementation of projects on establishing the largest in the region dairy stock breeding complexes and on construction of milk processing factory which will enable the Samara region to increase the quality and the volume of production of raw milk as well as population of dairy cows. Business-plans and master technological scheme are designed, engineering surveys are finished and design documentation is in the process of preparation.
The Samara region historically has been one of the scientific and technical centers of Russia. In order to maintain this status and to increase competitive advantages of enterprises of key clusters of the region (firstly, automotive and aerospace) including by means of establishing a new instrument-making cluster, the Corporation studies the possibility of implementation of a number of projects in the field of high technologies.
Specialists of the Corporation participate not only in direct implementation of investment projects but also help investors to make project packages. Initiators of the projects usually come with just an idea which is not supported by the market. In this connection The Corporation see its task in improvement of the projects till the level that will allow obtaining a funding from one of the banks.
